How to add a signature to your email
In your Browser navigate to Gmail,
- look for the little settings icon in the top right of your screen
- If the Quick settings menu pops up, click ‘See All Settings’
- Once in settings, under General tab scroll down until you see ‘Signature’
- You can either type in or copy and paste into this box and have it say what you want. This can hold about 10,000 characters so don’t worry about it having to be short.
- Change the font, color, size, insert a link, insert a picture, etc.
- Decide when/how you want your signature to be on your emails-Under the box find "Signature Defaults" and click the dropdown box under 'FOR NEW EMAIL USE" and choose the signature. Under the ON REPLY/FORWARD USE also choose your signature.
Once you’ve finished, scroll to the bottom of the page and click ‘Save Changes’
On a mobile device (phone or tablet):
- Open your Gmail app.
- Tap the Menu icon with 3 lines
- Scroll down and find settings
- Tap the account you want to add a signature to
- Tap ‘Signature Settings’
- Toggle on ‘Mobile Signature’,
- Type what you want it to say in the box
- When finished, hit the back arrow and you are done.
