How to disconnect and Connect Drives (connect to Sophos FIRST if you’re remote)
Disconnect: Open File Explorer found at the bottom of the screen.
Once open, navigate to “This PC”, found in the left nav bar and select it.
Find the drives under network locations, right click the drive to be disconnected, and select “Disconnect”. That’s it. The drive will be disconnected
To Reconnect a Scan folder:
With the same window open (File Explorer > This PC), Select the three dots just below the address bar at the top middle, and then select “Map Network Drive”
The “Map Network Drive” window will open. In the folder text box, type the folder path of \\10.0.0.33\scans\yourfoldername. Your scan folder’s name should be your first name last initial, i.e. johnd or janec. If it isn’t, try your first initial last name (i.e. jdoe) or your computer’s user name. Also, make sure you use back slashes (\\\) and not forward slashes (///). Back slashes can be found just above the enter key.
Once you type the folder path, select Finish at the bottom. The window will disappear if the information is correct. If not, type it again, and if still not, contact [email protected]
When the drive appears in the “This PC > Network Locations” window, drag it to the desktop for a shortcut if you so desire.
