How to create a SendThisFile account:

  1. Go to the Skill Creations site, and navigate to the dropdown menu. Under Staff Resources click the SendThisFile link
  2. When the page loads, at the top right of the page will be a blue highlighted link that says "Sign Up Here"
  3. Click that link, and then it asks for your email address and a password that you type twice to confirm, then click "Register" It will direct you back to the first page and it should say to "Please check your email to verify your account"
  4. Go to your email account and you should find an email from SendThisFile. Open the email and click the link to verify your registration. 
  5. Once you click on the link, it verifies your account and loads the initial page once again with a note that says "Registration is Complete" at the top right of the screen. 
  6. Click the star in the address bar on your browser to save that page to your bookmarks bar, and then you are ready to use SendThisFile.

To use SendThisFile: 
  1. Fill out the boxes-From: your email
  2. Password: your password
  3. Recipient: person's email you are sending it to. You can add multiple emails by separating with a comma and a space. (example: [email protected],  [email protected], [email protected])
  4. Message: your message to the person(s) you are sending the files to
  5. You can attach up to 5 files at a time. Click Choose File and navigate to the file and click add, or drag and drop to the chosen file to the Choose File link and it will add. 
  6. There are settings to the right that you can adjust, but leaving them as the standard is ok. 
    1. Secure transfer & Secure Storage-leave those checked. 
    2. Download notice: it is automatically set to First Download only (you will receive an email when someone downloads the file you sent.) You can change to None or Every Download.
    3. Delete Notice-It will send you an email about the chosen number of days that the person(s) you sent the files to did not download the file. 
    4. Restrict to-Automatically set to 999 downloads meaning the person can download the file up to that many times
    5. Delete After: Automatically set to 10 days, but can be adjusted to 1-14 days. (this is just the record of how long the  SendThisFile link will work before you have to resend it. 
    6. Send me a Copy-This is unchecked, but you can check it to get an email that looks just like the email you are sending. 
    7. Upload notice-This is unchecked, but you can check it to get a notice when something is uploaded. 
  7. Once complete, click SendThisFile at the bottom of the page.
