In Medisked navigate to the ‘Medications/Observations’ tab at the top. Then find the ‘Observations Report’ on the left (It will be the last option). From there if you are locked into a program location then all the clients in that location will load with everything.
- Select your date range
- Select the client
- Select observation type then click ‘Filter’
- Once that loads, If you just wan to view, you can click the down arrow next to the client to load all the observations.
- If not, click the ‘Export’ button at the top right of the client list, then click ‘Export to Excel’. This will take a minute to download, and you will see it at the bottom of your web browser when it downloads.
- Open the file. Depending on the observation, you will have several columns to view for each entry.
Across the top you will see the following columns: Observation Date, Observation Time, Client, Employee, Service, Location, Observation Type. The next columns depend on the observation type, but will likely include Section, Response etc. and the last column will be Logged Time.

To simplify the excel spreadsheet to have something to print that is legible:
- Delete columns you don’t need (Example: Employee, Service, Location) find the top of that column you want to eliminate and right click that column and click either ‘Delete’ or ‘Hide’. (If you accidentally delete a column, hit control+Z on your keyboard or click the undo button at the top of the page)
- Find the date column, and highlight the 2nd entry for the same date and highlight them like thisà
Click the delete button on your keyboard. It will end up looking like the image below:
Once you have deleted anything unnecessary, go to Fileà Print Preview to show what it will look like to print. Adjust any columns to fit the page by clicking the dividing line between the columns and dragging it. Then print, or save as a PDF.
