In Outlook, select File (Top left) > Acct settings (Top middle), then Account settings as it’s drops down.
Email tab will be open and the email account will be highlighted by default. Select “change” just above it.
The email account settings page will pop up. Leave it up and sign into Google on your web browser
In Google, top right, select the “SCI and your initials/pic” button and choose “Manage your Google Account” from the drop down
With the account page open, select “Security” on the left
Scroll down to “App Passwords” (Middle section) and click the arrow to the right
Next screen will verify that it’s you again. Click “Next”
In the middle of the next screen, Click “Select App” and choose “Other” from the list
Type in “Outlook” to name it for identifying later, and click the “Generate” button, then click “Done”
Copy the 16-digit password in the yellow block and minimize your web browser
In the Outlook Email account properties window, paste (keyboard shortcut of Cntl + V will paste it) the copied 16 digit Google password into the password box of Outlook (Bottom left in the pop up window). Click next at the bottom. The email test should yield two check boxes. Click close and then finish and you’re all set.
